Rivalries

Throughout the Chattanooga Region, we have some of our country’s most storied high school rivalries. Every year, teams of young men and women compete against one another, representing their schools and generations of other men and women who previously played in their footsteps.

Two of the most cherished and longest standing rivalries are football contests between Baylor and McCallie and Soddy Daisy versus Red Bank. For decades, football teams from Baylor and McCallie, along with Soddy Daisy and Red Bank, have met to compete for their right to be "winner" of these classic matchups. It is a time when schools and communities come together. It is a time when families and friends gather under autumn skies and celebrate their schools, share memories, cherish friendships, reflect on lessons learned from teachers and coaches, and cheer their teams to hopeful victories.

Below are Snapshots from this year’s contest between Baylor and McCallie and Soddy Daisy versus Red Bank. They show the spirit that transcends generations and ultimately serves to bring communities together.
