An elegant black theme was the inspiration for this sophisticated dining room. Building on the red, green, and black in the tulip drapery fabric, interior designer Marsha Yessick created a space that is cohesive throughout. Though a different pattern, the rug complements the colors and design of the drapes and dining chairs. The chairs, once mahogany, are painted a striking black to carry out the black theme. A dramatic black chandelier was specially made for the homeowner and ordered from Texas. Raspberry red paint makes the walls pop with personality, and a hand-selected poppy painting above a buffet table is flanked by two tall shaded lamps with a bit of dangling sparkle.
