Paula McDaniel's Slow Cooker Shrimp Boil

Ingredients
  

  • lbs. red potatoes, halved
  • 4 ears sweet corn, cut into 3-inch segments
  • ½ cup seafood seasoning 
  • 2 lbs. smoked beef sausage, cut into 1-inch segments
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2 lbs. large shrimp, deveined with shell on
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions
 

  • In a large crockpot, combine potatoes and corn, and then sprinkle with half of the seafood seasoning of your choice. Layer the sausage on top.
  • Then, add chicken broth, onion powder, and garlic. Cover with lid, and cook on high for 3½ hours.
  • Once that time has passed, add shrimp and remaining seafood seasoning. Then, squeeze lemon juice overtop using a strainer to catch any seeds. Cover, and cook on low for 30 minutes. Then, serve immediately.
