“Apple pie is such a staple in many families. What we enjoy about my apple pie is its flavor. Using a tart apple, like a Granny Smith, gives the pie a slightly tangy flavor, in addition to the sweet and warm cinnamon in every bite. This pie is set apart from simpler recipes because of the crunchy, nutty, and buttery topping that is baked on top. This amazing family tradition can create a fight for the last slice! If you want to impress your guests, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a richer, divine experience.” –Renita Johnson
