Luxury Baths

Photography by Creative Revolver

With a nod to waterfront living, this master bathroom induces feelings of calm and tranquility. Rustic tile and an antique French pastry counter, purchased specifically to serve as an island for this space, balance out the brass fixtures and hardware, which add a contemporary element. The clean lines of the quartersawn oak wall cabinetry further contribute to the modern feel. A reclaimed oyster-shell chandelier, which hangs above the island, makes for a bold centerpiece and pairs well with the wall sconces over the three mirrors to brighten the room. Strategically positioned under the large picture window, a pristine freestanding tub is the perfect spot for soaking in this soothing setting. Nearby, the glass-enclosed shower is essentially a whole separate room – the inviting L-shaped bench seat is a practical and posh addition, while a mix of tiles, including hand-painted tile featuring a whimsical flower pattern on the back wall and two niches, gives oomph without detracting from the serene design of the space.
