A blind date started it all for Lindsey and Pher Moore. Set up by a mutual friend, the pair bonded over a shared sense of humor at a show at the Tivoli Theatre in downtown Chattanooga. Married on April 15, 2023, the ceremony was held at Baylor Chapel, followed by a classic reception at Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall.

“I actually have worked at Chattanooga Whiskey for eight years and have always loved our Event Hall,” says Lindsey. “The barrel details and all-glass rotunda make for such a fun atmosphere. We wanted a come-as-you-are-and-just-enjoy-yourself vibe.”

After attending an evening ceremony, guests made a quick drive over the Tennessee River to Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall for a cocktail hour. A streamlined bar served a selection of local beer and wine options, as well as custom cocktails selected by the couple. The outdoor space also offered a cigar bar curated by Lindsey’s father.

The party continued with live music and dinner. Guests enjoyed a spacious dance floor in the hall’s main rotunda, while an outdoor tent offered more room for seating and conversation. In lieu of a traditional plated meal and wedding cake, the couple opted for a taco bar, pizza truck, and their favorite local ice cream.

The couple’s sentimentality made way for unforgettable décor and dress. To complement the venue’s stunning barrel and metal detailing, fresh greenery and white flowers accented the event space. Lindsey wore her mother’s wedding dress from the 80s with slight alterations, and Pher donned a light green golf-themed tie to match his brothers.

A silent disco after-party followed the main reception. With mini instruments in hand, guests led the way to a nearby local bar for the after-party. In place of a send-off, Lindsey and Pher ended their big day with more music and dancing, enjoying the company of their closest friends and family.

“I’ll always remember getting to add this milestone at a place that’s so special to me,” Lindsey adds. “Our most important goal was for our guests to feel relaxed and have a good time, and the venue was perfect for channeling that!”

How He Proposed

“In one of our favorite places, Highlands, NC, we went for an afternoon walk just as it started snowing. We were talking about our favorite milestones we had celebrated in Highlands, including the first time we said ‘I love you,’ and that’s when Pher got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest question of my life to answer. Yes!”
