Coastal Calm

Dining.CoastalCalm.2

Inspired by water, this dining room’s soothing design creates a serene setting for family dinner. The soft blue-green walls set the tone for this space, while picture windows with sheer Belgium linen let in sunlight. A natural fiber sisal rug continues the coastal theme, while a modern farmhouse table and bench, complete with a green-gray wash, add an urban rustic element. Covered in creamy velvet, the host and hostess chairs add a touch of elegance, as do the matching wall candle sconces that frame the mirror. The buffet table boasts antique beading and seamlessly blends with the woods of the table and mirror. The modern geometric shapes of the rubbed bronze chandelier complete the updated coastal feeling. In the far corner, a stocked bar cart is waiting for guests, and the table’s candle centerpiece sits in a wooden tray full of fresh coffee beans, filling the room with a rich aroma.
