Italian Inspired
Photography by Philip Slowiak
Inspired by Italian architecture, this poolscape is a modified Roman- and Grecian-style design in a traditional rectangular shape with soft semi-circle corners that match the shape of the covered porch. The pool’s entrance is situated between a pair of hammer-finished copper planter bowls atop travertine columns with fountains spilling gently into the pool, mirroring the spillway from the raised spa directly across from the entrance. One end of the pool features a sun shelf equipped with loungers and bubblers for the ultimate relaxing experience. The coping, decking pavers, and stone facing are all composed of natural travertine imported from Turkey in silver tones that complements the home’s style and stays cool in warmer months. The deck and covered porch provide ample space for entertaining and offer a variety of seating options from wicker egg chairs to sun loungers and a dining table. This outdoor space is the perfect combination of function and beauty.
