Exotic Accents

Shades of black and gold bring drama and elegance to this living room, which was designed by Marsha Yessick. Silk panels with bouillon fringe cascade from ceiling to floor to accent the two-story windows and lofty ceilings. The overstuffed patterned sofa with dressmaker skirt allows for comfortable seating while adding visual interest. Two animal print chairs, the inspiration for the room’s overall look, flank a stately fireplace. A chandelier with bronze and crystal accents is beautiful and functional, and oil paintings, a black velvet skirted table, black porcelain lamps, and a fine cabinet all complement the elegant space.
