Fireside Bliss

Outdoor Areas

Photography by Sarah Unger

Located in the stunning McLemore community on Lookout Mountain is a casual outdoor area that can serve as a social hub or quiet haven. A meticulously landscaped winding pea-gravel pathway leads up to the space and incorporates a touch of whimsy into the design. At the center of it all is a custom circular stone fire pit – a naturally inspired solution for warming hands and hearts on chilly fall evenings. A short semicircular wall matches the stonework and gives a sense of privacy to the space while offering extra seating. With their distinct appearance, brown-stained Adirondack chairs – a durable selection that conveys relaxation as well as refinement – surround the fire pit and are also arranged in a semicircle. These classic chairs provide the optimal place to settle in and enjoy the tree-filled surroundings. Perimeter accent lighting further illuminates the retreat for an ambiant walk back to the cottage after a full day of golfing.
