Fourth of July Cocktail Recipes

Holiday time is the best time.

Between the decorations and gatherings with friends and family, it’s hard not to feel joyous during those special times of year … and then there’s the food and drinks – festive and tasty tokens that take the celebration to a whole new level. Here, area establishments share several show-stopping cocktails so that you too can impress guests with your cheerful creations.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.25 oz. Cruzan Rum
  • 0.25 oz. Malibu Rum
  • 0.25 oz. blue curaçao
  • 0.25 oz. pineapple juice
  • 0.25 oz. grenadine

Instructions
 

  • Add both rums, blue curaçao, and pineapple juice to a shaker with ice.
  • Shake for 30 seconds to combine.
  • Pour into a Collins glass filled with ice.
  • Slowly add the grenadine and allow it to sink to the bottom.
  • Outfit a cocktail skewer with a blueberry and maraschino cherry and rest on the edge of the glass for a festive garnish!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz. George Dickel No. 12 Tennessee Whiskey
  • 0.5 oz. Pilla Select Aperitivo
  • 0.5 oz. simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz. lemon juice
  • Egg White

Instructions
 

  • In a cocktail shaker, add whiskey, aperitivo, simple syrup, and half of the lemon juice over ice and shake for 30 seconds to combine.
  • Strain into a coupe glass.
  • Dry shake (without ice) egg white and remaining lemon juice and strain into the glass.
  • This should give you a nice creamy layer for your garnish.
  • To garnish, dip a straw into a reserve of blue curaçao and place your finger on the top of the straw to capture the liquid.
  • Slowly release onto the top of the drink, creating a blue rectangle.
  • Repeat the process using a reserve of aperitivo, this time drawing lines to complete your flag design.
