Wreaths are the perfect decoration to elevate your entryway. Lush greenery and brightly colored florals can provide a warm welcome to visitors as they approach your doorstep. Joe Jumper, owner of The Clay Pot in Riverview, offers a step-by-step look into the process of creating a wreath.

Step 1

Begin with a fully soaked floral foam base wrapped in floral tape.

Step 3

Layer in more greenery – try a large leaf (salal) and detailed leaf (pittosporum).

Fun fact: This foliage can be found in your backyard!

Step 4

Add flowers with neutral tones (white hydrangeas and mini green hydrangeas). Start with the largest, and then fill in the gaps with smaller blooms.

Step 5

Touch up with pops of color (orange and yellow crush roses and red anemones) and texture (white ranunculus and white scabiosa) until desired look is achieved.

Joe Jumper’s rule of thumb: Arrange flowers in the same direction to keep stems from getting in the way.
