A juxtaposition of high drama and relaxation is at the core of this master suite’s design. Commanding the center of the room is a king bed that features an upholstered button headboard – providing a touch of texture – as well as a welted board detailed with nailhead trim. Although grand in scale, this stately bed rests at an ideal height for crawling in after a long day. Two lacquered grasscloth nightstands with polished-nickel ring pulls flank the bed, while a tone-on-tone silver rug runs underneath and works to anchor the space. Contributing to the room’s décor is a gallery wall of mirrors that not only creates a sense of grandeur, but also brings the dark pewter walls to life. However, the wrought-iron stacked laurel leaf chandelier hanging overhead is truly the room’s crowning glory. The peacefulness of the setting extends outside to the private balcony, where picture-perfect views of Chattanooga’s AT&T Stadium and riverfront can be enjoyed.
