Holiday Settings

This fabulous Fischer Evans tablescape plays off the hand-painted chevron turquoise wall of the contemporary dining room designed by Haskell Matheny. For a “pop” of sparkle, the Mottahedeh, Annieglass, and Robert Haviland & C. Parlon dinnerware in complementary shades of turquoise and gold is paired with Baccarat crystal candlesticks and Lismore by Waterford crystal wine glasses. Place settings are framed by hemstitched placemats and napkins with pearl napkin rings. A centerpiece of fresh Casa Blanca lilies, hydrangeas, carnations, and mums surrounded by variegated holly and pine, by florist Nancy Deakins, creates a dining room that is simple and sophisticated – perfect for dinner parties that stretch well beyond the holiday season. Designed by Kimberly Varner, this glowing setting elegantly complements the simple carvings, generously scaled furniture, and rich colors of this old-world feel dining room. Sophisticated crystal candlesticks with long white taper candles surround a fresh centerpiece layered with pine, spruce, evergreen, and magnolia, while an assortment of white china awaits a buffet of holiday food favorites. With a few glass jars filled with colorful ornaments featured on the buffet, the space is striking, but not overdone.

Designed by Jimmy Adams, this elegant and whimsical table is the perfect setting for a memorable, awe-inspiring holiday dinner. Set against the room’s simple background, the festive tablescape, featuring burnt sugar pillars and red taper candles in silvered candlesticks, keeps the focus on the celebration with family or friends. The white Italian dinnerware pops next to the bright green magnolia and holly, ruby glass, and pure red linen napkins. A tiny red stitched border on the simple linen placemats – a romantic and special Southern touch – lends a bit of simplicity to the grand theme.

Designed by Joe Jumper, this beautiful winter white and green table setting was created to accentuate the Littles’ beautiful green and white china and chalk painted mirror over the sideboard. Three moss-lined baking trays along the table hold mini clear containers with single flower buds, while chic pillar candles offer holiday sparkle. Complementing the soft blue walls, the simple yet sophisticated color scheme is perfect for any holiday meal. Mood moss, hemlock anemones, dahlias, and magnolias bring a fresh, natural element to the holiday table.
