Performance
Moving into the future in a progressive and dynamic way, a specially defined pressure point on the accelerator pedal signals a switch between all-electric to driving powered by the combustion engine. The combustion engine is fired up when necessary or when the accelerator is depressed beyond the pressure point. In coasting mode, the combustion engine is decoupled and switched off, allowing the Cayenne S E-Hybrid to glide under its own momentum for a significant reduction in fuel consumption without any compromise in terms of sports performance.
8-speed Tiptronic S
Thanks to a particularly wide ratio spread, the 8-speed Tiptronic S lowers fuel consumption and increases comfort and dynamic agility. Low engine speeds in higher gears reduce noise level inside the vehicle. The 8-speed Tiptronic S shifts gears automatically and adapts to your individual driving style.
Porsche Traction Management (PTM)
PTM on the Cayenne S E-Hybrid features a permanent all-wheel drive system with self-locking center differential. This provides a standard torque split of 60% to the rear and 40% to the front. Variable distribution of engine torque to the rear wheels also enhances steering precision and driving dynamics.
Exterior Design
A new hood, new front fenders, new main headlights and modified air intakes lend the car even greater presence. Precisely contoured sides make it clear that this is a sports car with character and stature. New exterior mirrors with integrated indicators and wheels serve to emphasize the car’s dynamics. Standard daytime running lights, as well as new LED taillights and integrated tailpipes further confirm the car’s sporty impression.
Porsche Communication Management (PCM)
A high-resolution touchscreen display is operated via a graphic interface or using rotary push-button controls. The touchscreen and instrument cluster display hybrid-specific information, such as charge situation, charge status, and performance. In addition, the system indicates the respective speed limit for roads covered in the navigation database. In conjunction with optional online services, online destinations can be easily imported into the navigation system.
BOSE® Surround Sound-System
Featuring 9 amplifier channels, 14 loudspeakers, and a 200-watt active subwoofer, the system delivers a balanced acoustic pattern and a total output of 585 watts. Sources such as CDs and MP3s can be played in a surround mode, at the push of a button.
Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment
Two separate 10.1-inch touchscreen displays on the backrests of the front seats, an integrated DVD drive, wireless Bluetooth® headsets, SD card slot, 32 GB internal flash memory, and an optional WLAN router ensure a superb cinematic experience.
E-mobility and Porsche Car Connect (PCC)
Porsche Car Connect, the app for your smartphone, offers a host of options for you and your Cayenne S E-Hybrid. These include Remote Services, which allow you to access vehicle information remotely and also control selected functions; Porsche Vehicle Tracking Services to protect your Porsche against theft and then find it again if the worst happens; and E-Mobility Services that offer information and options especially tailored to your hybrid vehicle.
