An ode to the Venetian style, this living area blends grandiose architecture and antique accents with modern comforts to create an old-world atmosphere with all the frills of a new build. Upon first glance, vaulted cathedral ceilings in a dramatic dark stain, rounded arches, details in the wrought iron railing, and a pair of custom chandeliers create a solid foundation for this theme. Antique pieces bring authenticity to the design, from a side table with aureate details to the collection of curios that dot the space and tell stories from around the world. Plush, modern sofas and a pair of Queen Anne chairs upholstered in luxurious blue velvet offer guests a place to relax and take in stunning views from the room’s many windows. Underfoot, parquet floors and a vibrant antique rug tie the room’s elements together with an ornate design, firmly reinforcing the theme of the home.
