Low Country Contemporary

Designer Kimberly Varner’s goal was to create an inviting master bedroom that was warm and feminine. To achieve this look, a unique mix of low country and contemporary components were selected, making this room a one-of-a-kind reflection of the homeowner’s style. Chosen for its lower South Carolina feel, a leathery shade of paint sets a warm tone for the design elements in the space. Adding to the room’s rich color is the homeowner’s cherry furniture, and a queen-size upholstered bed anchors the space. A simple creamy duvet and window treatment mirror the neutral carpet and soften the room. What was once the homeowner’s least favorite room has now become a favorite thanks to two distinct styles that come together to form a unique bedroom oasis.
