Luxurious Baths: Nostalgic Retreat

Photography by Med Dement

In planning a master bath, the design should allow for a shared space that provides individual dressing and storage places for both “her” and “him”—separate spaces but one room.  The goal for this master bath was to be inviting and comfortable. The footprint provides ample space and storage in her and his side of the vanity, separated by a seated makeup area. DuraSupreme cabinetry was used in a maple-raised panel door with vanilla paint and brown accented glaze. The cabinetry goes to the 10’ ceiling, and along with the large expanse of mirror, provides a grand feel to the room. Travertine stone provides for a neutral but warm space. An arched window over the tub is flanked inside by stone shelving at one end and a television and fireplace at the other. The combination is exceptionally inviting. Beautiful Napoleon granite countertops and travertine with shades of blue complement the wall color. Grohe fixtures ensure that the large shower space is a beautifully functioning and comfortable shower experience.
