Modern Approachability

Dining Room

Contrast is key in this modern yet approachable dining room that welcomes visitors with an updated take on a classic combination: black and white. Painted in “White Dove” by Benjamin Moore, the bright walls beckon the eye in, while a black nail hammered fixture with gold interior packs a punch and creates balance. Neutral elements add warmth and cohesion; beneath the bold pendant light is a washed white wooden dining table with matching bench seating and mid-century modern leather chairs. An abstract painting finished with warm browns breaks up the white walls and marries nicely with the wide-plank oak flooring. A thoughtful overflow of space allows for a window seating area that features neutral upholstered wingback chairs with nailhead trim, bold velvet pillows, and a modern metallic side table – a perfect continuation of the space.
