brilliant modern kitchen with green tile backsplash accent wall and black shaker style cabinets in Chattanooga home

A rich use of the color blue is the main attraction in this vibrant kitchen, where mixing materials such as ceramic, wood, and metal contributes to an eclectic yet timeless style. A Zellige tile backsplash – seen here in piercing shades of turquoise – is not only a stunning statement piece, but also serves as a durable backdrop for the occasional splatter or spill. Compounding on the blue theme is the dark cobalt perimeter cabinetry, which features warm brass pulls that play off the cool tones seen throughout the U-shaped kitchen. The pitch-black surface of the Negresco-honed granite countertop, another durable selection, is similarly lightened with subtle traces of white. The stainless-steel appliances and range hood sizzle with style, while a light wood island complements the hardwood flooring and incorporates an organic element to the setting. Both functional and fashionable, a pair of white ceramic pendant lights with simple scalloped edges put the finishing touch on this cozy kitchen.
