Neutral Chic

wanting to stay tone on tone and keep with a mainly gray color palette throughout, pettus and coogan introduced metallics and tans to warm up the space“Natural, earthy, and not fussy,” is how interior designers Christy Forester Pettus and Sherry L. Coogan describe this dining area. Wanting to stay tone on tone and keep with a mainly gray color palette throughout, Pettus and Coogan introduced metallics and tans to warm up the space. A silvery artwork print hangs above a charcoal gray buffet table which holds antique white lamp bases adorned in new woven shades. A small seating area is created near the window, and includes chairs recovered in a functional tweed on the front, and pretty paisley on the back. Tying the room together and completing the space is a perforated steel light fixture which hangs over the center of the table.
