“Natural, earthy, and not fussy,” is how interior designers Christy Forester Pettus and Sherry L. Coogan describe this dining area. Wanting to stay tone on tone and keep with a mainly gray color palette throughout, Pettus and Coogan introduced metallics and tans to warm up the space. A silvery artwork print hangs above a charcoal gray buffet table which holds antique white lamp bases adorned in new woven shades. A small seating area is created near the window, and includes chairs recovered in a functional tweed on the front, and pretty paisley on the back. Tying the room together and completing the space is a perforated steel light fixture which hangs over the center of the table.
