Old Fashioned – Simple Cocktail Recipe

When it comes to crafting cocktails, you don’t have to make something extravagant for it to be delicious. With a list of ingredients you can count on one hand, these local establishments have offered up everything from classic creations to laudable libations that prove sometimes less really is more.

Ingredients

2 house-made cherries

1 oz. cherry juice

2 dashes Jerry Thomas bitters

1 orange peel

2 oz. Maker’s Mark whiskey

 

Directions

Add cherries, cherry juice, bitters, and an orange peel to the bottom of a rocks glass and muddle to release flavors. Add in ice followed by the whiskey. Stir to combine.
