Old-World Ambiance

A warm color palette reminiscent of old Italian villas characterizes this stunning kitchen. The expansive floor plan is the result of opening walls and adding structural beams, which are clad in solid wood and stained to complement the flooring. Separate stations were created for different purposes. There is a coffee and prep bar in one corner, a drink station/dry bar opposite of that, casual seating at one end of the island, and the main cooking station at the other end of the island. Cabinets are painted a warm white and then aged with a rustic brown wash. A copper ceiling, hammered copper sinks, and bronze faucets and light fixtures continue the warm-toned charm of old-world styling. Other key elements helping to carry this style are embroidered silk roman shades, a crackled tile backsplash, and the drink station’s luxurious hand-glazed arabesque tile backsplash in varying rich burgundy hues.
