When it comes to crafting cocktails, you don’t have to make something extravagant for it to be delicious. With a list of ingredients you can count on one hand, these local establishments have offered up everything from classic creations to laudable libations that prove sometimes less really is more.

Ingredients

4 slices fresh ginger

2 oz. Jura 10-year Highland Scotch

3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice

3/4 oz. honey syrup (1:1 of local honey and water)

1/4 oz. Caol Ila 12-year Islay Scotch

 

Directions

Muddle 4 slices of fresh ginger in a cocktail shaker and add Jura Scotch, lemon juice, and honey syrup. Shake to combine. Pour Caol Ila into a chilled rocks glass and fine strain mixture over top. Express a lemon peel over the drink and discard. Serve over a large ice cube with a candied ginger garnish.

Equipment

  • Muddler
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Rocks glass
  • Fine strainer

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices fresh ginger

  • ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ oz honey syrup (1:1 of local honey and water)
  • ¼ oz Caol Ila 12-year Islay Scotch

For garnish:

  • Lemon peel
  • Candied ginger

Instructions
