This contemporary kitchen keeps cabinetry details to a minimum while allowing unique materials and finishes to become the focal points of the space. Perimeter cabinetry is a high-polished white lacquer while the back wall features polished Macassar wood cabinetry. A tray ceiling over the island adds height, and the gloss of the space is further emphasized by the marble on the floor, backsplash, and quartz countertops. Designer Haskell Matheny captured the homeowners’ passion for art glass with a custom-designed glass counter at the end of the island. The piece is the focal point of the kitchen and the perfect gathering point for friends and family.
