No matter what you love about food bowls, this tasty recipe from local restaurant Han-Mi is proof that the trend is here to stay.

Rabokki

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean red pepper to taste)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tbsp gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 4-6 cups water
  • 1 pack 200g tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes)
  • 2 sheets eomuk (fish cakes)
  • 1 pack ramen noodles any flavor

Instructions
 

  • In a medium mixing bowl, add red pepper paste, sugar, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, corn syrup, and 1 cup of warm water.
  • Stir to combine, then set aside.
  • Pour 3-5 cups of water, depending on the amount of rice cakes and fish cakes you want, into a large pot.
  • Add rice cakes, fish cakes, and ramen noodle seasoning packet. 
  • Once water begins to boil, add ramen noodles.
  • After 2 minutes, break noodles up and add red pepper mixture. 
  • Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens, then serve.
