Celebrating Local Weddings and Engagements

Kristin Brooke Lowry & Dr. Reid  Austin Maclellan

In June 2016, Brooke Lowry found herself single just days before her scheduled engagement shoot at Disneyland. Originally from the South, she had spent the last nine years in Malibu, where she attended Pepperdine University before taking a job in Creative Development at Disney Junior. She plucked up the courage to proceed with the shoot on her own, and the “Solo Princess” story and photos quickly went viral. On the opposite side of the country, Reid, a Harvard-educated pediatric plastic surgeon, came across the article and reached out to Brooke with a message of encouragement on Facebook. Through one of their conversations, they discovered they had grown up less than five miles from each other in Vestavia Hills, AL. In August 2018, Reid proposed in the gorgeous town of Newport, RI. They will begin their happily ever after in their new hometown, Lookout Mountain.

Grace Ann Bickley & David Hamilton Allen

Gracie Bickley and David Allen met on February 18, 2017 for coffee under the pretense of a supposed job interview for Gracie to join the ranks of David’s company, RSS Insurance. However, once the interview began, the last thing discussed was work. They quickly realized they both loved to fly fish, hike, and be outdoors. Rather than pursuing a job, they began pursuing each other and started dating one week later. Over the next two years, their love for the outdoors continued to grow, as did their love for one another. On January 1, 2019, David asked Gracie to marry him while on a hike with their two dogs, Chief and Lula, in Cloudland Canyon State Park. They will begin their life of adventure together on June 29, 2019 in Gracie’s hometown, Chattanooga, TN.
