Sophisticated Comfort

When decorating this traditional bedroom, interior designer Dolores Wolfe artfully incorporated tones of blue to provide a sophisticated resting place. Hues of both blue and tan are a common theme in the room, from the draperies, to the bedding, to the rug. Rich dark wood in the side tables and bed, which rest easily against neutral colored walls, offsets cooler blue tones in the room. The plush, overstuffed bed with an elegantly crafted wood frame serves as the focal point along with slender lamps with brown drum shades. Framed artwork in the room depicts several city settings and a white tray ceiling’s center is painted in the same tan shade as the walls, drawing the room down for a comfortable, cozy feel.
