Streamlined Sleek

Custom Kitchens

Photography by Philip Slowiak

Streamlined elements pair well with striking fixtures in this modern kitchen fit for hosting a crowd. Along one wall, stained maple perimeter cabinetry has been designed around large windows to show off stunning views of the Tennessee River; here, a paneled refrigerator and freezer flank the main kitchen sink and reinforce the roomโ€™s symmetry. This duality is continued in the two islands โ€“ one equipped with stool seating, and the other used for preparation. Each island is swathed in sleek quartz with a waterfall edge, boasting clean lines without seams. The same quartz that tops the islands comprises the kitchen backsplash, where a pot filler faucet juts out just over the cooktop. The pot fillerโ€™s honey bronze finish, also seen in the cabinet pulls, twin chandeliers and wall sconces, and barstool legs, is the icing on the cake to this warm-toned space.
