Sunlit Surprise

Living Areas

Photography by Philip Slowiak

This bright and cheery sunroom doubles as a cozy living area with its flat-screen television, ample seating options, and eclectic décor. Corals and bright greens are used throughout the space, creating a tropical-themed color scheme that makes the everyday feel like a vacation. Two coral animal-print armchairs with matching ottomans beautifully mix with a pair of oriental geisha accent chairs, the latter of which are paired with a small table for dining and conversation. A wall of windows stunningly showcases the outdoors, while the room’s décor – from the dragonfly window treatment to the vintage bird prints – is a nod to nature at every turn. Wooden and wicker elements seen in the media center, side tables, and a purposefully placed basket reinforce the organic feel. Underfoot, durable tile is partially concealed by a patterned rug that pulls in all the colors of the space and anchors the design.
