With natural colors, smooth finishes, and an open, streamlined feel, this classic kitchen will never go out of style. The soft white inset cabinetry sets the tone for the entire room, creating a timeless and comforting scheme. Blending seamlessly into the design are paneled appliances, which make the kitchen feel less utilitarian and more like an extension of the adjacent great room. Contemporary countertops, mixed metals, and a glazed ceramic tile backsplash beautifully complement the cabinetry with understated elegance. The use of stained and glazed wood – found in the islands and flooring – further incorporates a modern touch, but with warmth and depth. The second island is a practical luxury, providing additional prep and storage space while also acting as a bar area for evening soirées. Adding pops of personality to this inviting space are the distressed runner and woven barstools, elements that can be interchanged so that this kitchen always remains on-trend.
