Traditional with a Twist

Master Suite

Photography by Ryan Dugger / Creative Revolver

This traditional master suite combines bold patterns and elegant pops of color with mixed materials and eclectic accessories for a tropical take on a timeless style. A king-size bed in the center of the room features crisp, clean elements like white linens with a banded edge, while the barrel-tufted headboard adds depth to modernize the set. Traditional furnishings, such as a stained maple dresser and painted bedside tables, are functional yet stylish, and the bamboo-inspired base of the antique lacquered desk adds interest and ties the traditional pieces in with other accents that share the space. A pair of braided jute benches and bamboo cordless blinds work with botanicals that sit atop the desk and a mid-century side table to infuse natural elements into the room. The bold look of the bamboo lattice print of the window treatments as well as the Asian-inspired print of the chair tie the room together.
