Unique Home Designs: French Countryside Flair

A. Perry Homes – French Countryside Flair

Photography by Matt Mansuet

Inspired by old-world French countryside style, this home also features a unique New Orleans flair. The diving roof lines, dormer windows, stone archways, and copper gutters provide plenty of visual interest, all capped by the natural cedar shake roof. The first hints of New Orleans come through in the Bevolo gas lanterns dotting the home’s exterior. Elevated countryside themes continue in the interior with beveled, hand-scraped, wide plank French oak floors and furniture selections like the chic Bergere chairs flanking the fireplace, and New Orleans charm can be found in the wine room with a speakeasy style bar. Entertaining is central to this home, especially in the kitchen. A home chef’s dream, there is ample storage and workspace, plus an eat-in island in addition to the prep island. Just outside is a well-appointed outdoor kitchen, complete with an outdoor fireplace, built-in grill, pizza oven, and even a drop-down screen for backyard movie nights. Inside and out, this home is perfect for family gatherings and neighborhood get-togethers.
