Traditional furniture is freshened up with updated colors, fabrics, and artwork in this vintage-inspired dining room. While a stately table set for eight anchors the space, the quirky, one-of-a-kind French chandelier – furthered accentuated by an unpretentious ceiling medallion – draws guests in and sets the mood for the room. Other antique pieces such as the towering grandfather clock, gold-framed mirror, and hand-painted vases each make a statement in their own right, and along one wall, a china cabinet with geometric accents houses even more antique treats. More subtle patterns can be found in the area rug and window treatments, which were chosen to help all of the room’s elements flow together. The high-sheen finish of the thick aqua drapes instantly dresses up the windows and takes this dining room from classic to chic.
