Waters-Holland Builders – Family, Function, and Form

Custom-building isn’t for everyone, but these new-to-Chattanooga homeowners wanted to create a home that fit their needs and style. They embarked upon the process at the behest of their friends to work with Waters-Holland Builders to build their dream home in a gated community. Although family and function were the basis for their home design, form was also a high priority. The striking features of the kitchen include a richly stained 10-foot island with a porcelain farmhouse sink and Moon Night granite. The perimeter cabinets are painted a creamy white and feature soft-close drawers, a custom appliance pantry, and Silver Pearl granite for contrast. The backsplash tile consists of 4-inch by 16-inch matte subway tile with a matte Moroccan accent behind the gas cooktop. The kitchen is open to an angled hearth room and breakfast nook with a custom banquette. With an abundance of accommodating features throughout, this custom home is both practical and distinguished. A few of the several vendors involved with the production were Cornerstone Granite, Creek’s Cabinet Shop, Louisville Tile and Stone Source, Inc.
