Buñuelos
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 cups vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix ½ cup sugar with ground cinnamon and set aside.
- Pour the flour, remaining sugar, and salt into a large mixing bowl.
- Add egg and shortening and mix well.
- Add warm water a little at a time and mix until dough no longer sticks to your hands.
- Transfer dough to a clean working surface and knead for 8-10
