blocks (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened to room temperature

Instructions
Slowly add 1 cup sugar to aluminum cake pan over low heat until sugar is caramelized and a light golden color.
Swirl caramelized sugar to coat the sides of the pan.
Blend remaining ingredients, then pour into pan over caramelized sugar.
Set the pan in a large, shallow baking dish with 1 inch of hot water.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour until set and golden, then remove pan from water bath.
Allow to cool, then cover and store in refrigerator.
When ready to serve, turn flan over onto a serving platter.
