Amber Mueller’s Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • ¼ tsp. cream of tartar
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar + 2 teaspoons cinnamon, for rolling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Combine butter and sugars until creamed. Add vanilla and egg and beat until fluffy. Add all remaining items and slowly beat. Cover dough and place in the fridge for an hour.
  • Separate into 14 balls and roll in cinnamon sugar mix. Flatten each ball slightly on a cookie sheet and bake for 9 minutes.
