Five Flavor Shrimp with Pecans | Formosa Restaurant
A staple on Formosa’s menu for 20 years, the Five Flavor Shrimp is a customer favorite. Jumbo shrimp are lightly sautéed in the restaurant’s special five flavor sauce, tossed with button mushrooms and snow peas, plated on a bed of spinach, and sprinkled with glazed pecans for a Southern touch. According to owner and chef Mitchel Lin, the tangy five flavor sauce is a harmony of sweet, sour, spice, soy, pepper, and a sherry reduction.
