Mom-Mom’s Schnecken

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. butter softened
  • 1 lb. cream cheese
  • 4 cups flour
  • Cinnamon sugar to taste
  • 2 12-oz. jars seedless black raspberry jam
  • Walnuts chopped, to taste
  • Currants to taste
  • Raisins to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix butter, cream cheese, and flour until combined.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls and let sit in the fridge overnight.
  • The next morning, preheat oven to 375°.
  • Remove balls from fridge and roll in cinnamon sugar. Flatten balls with your palm and spread one side with jam.
  • Sprinkle chopped walnuts, currants, and raisins.
  • Roll dough into crescent shape and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with coffee, tea, or milk, and enjoy.
